What brought you to be an advocate for the American Heart Association?

What brought me to be an advocate for the American Heart was the people in it serves.  I am passionate in helping people; and in this case, I get the ability to help stroke survivors in the recovery process.  Not only that but through the AHA we strive for a greater education with stroke patients from education, onset, all the way through recovery which is so near and dear to every individual; and just a great honor for me to be a part of.

What issues or policies are you most passionate about and why?

Along with the Mission Lifeline Stroke; the policy to keep schools active!  Very important I believe the schools need to keep the physical education portion in school and keep our children active!  Keep them moving.

What is your favorite way to be active?

My favorite way to be active is to be outside playing with my two kids.   I like to go to the park, swimming, out to the lake, go for a walk, to the gym (sometimes).

What is your favorite fruit or vegetable?

I love all fruit, and most all veggies!  Yum
