Advocate Spotlight: Lori Salsgiver

Lori Salsgiver had a stroke 3 years ago and then had heart surgery 6 months later to repair a hole in her heart.  Her platform is to educate others about how stroke does not discriminate against age.  Lori got involved with advocacy because she wanted to help educate lawmakers about stroke and heart issues.  She feels that it is vital for constituents to educate their lawmakers about laws governing stroke and heart health.

Lori attends Pennsylvania Lobby Day and wanted to expand on that opportunity by going to the Congressional Lobby Day so that she can meet more lawmakers and share her story.  Lori has come a long way in her recovery and she believes that one person can truly make a difference.  She's been given a second chance at life for a reason and she wants to take advantage of every minute!

On April 8, Lori will be one of the manyYou’re the Cure advocates in our nation's capital to speak with one voice at the Rally for Medical Research.  And we need you to be part of the movement too!  Show your support by adding your name so your "heart" can be there with us! http://yourethecure.org/heartsforresearch/
