2013 North Carolina You're the Cure Lobby Day

More than 60 You’re the Cure advocates gathered for North Carolina’s state lobby day to talk about the importance of pulse oximetry newborn screening as well as other important AHA issues.  Many of the advocates included families with children with congenital heart defects and this included Mr. Greg Olsen, tight-end for the Carolina Panthers.  Mr. Olsen testified that day in front of the House Health and Human Services Committee and House Bill 105: Require Pulse Oximetry Newborn Screening  passed out unanimously.  Following the hearing, lawmakers, Mr. Olsen and advocates gathered for a news conference to discuss pulse oximetry screening.

Many thanks to all of the volunteers and staff who came out in support of Lobby Day!  We can't wait to see you all again soon!
